Similar to the police buybacks, and various guns for groceries drives...except I wouldn't destroy them.  

I'm sure it's been done, and I read various articles online but I'm hoping the Hive has a better collection of stories, suggestions, warnings and knowledge.

Is it legal?  Is it moral?  What are the outcomes that are likely to manifest?

This was inspired by seeing the kinds of firearms some residents just have no desire to keep or maintain for whatever reason.  One man's trash is another man's treasure, I suppose.
