Im IRR.  Ive never gone to any sort of function or had anything to do with the service since I got out.  Actually I think my IRR time is almost up now that I think about it.

It is like you are in the Army again!  APFT, possibly rifle qualification trip and suspicion of being an undercover CID agent .  Yes, every time.  I knew who were stashing illegal drugs, they were the ones who accused me of being undercover.

My cousin is on IRR and he gets e-mails all the time from recruiters and things telling him he has to go to muster but he's got 180% disability rating (physical and PTSD) so he just ignores them.

Muster once a year, you get paid like $180 bucks for one hour of your time.  Plus, recruiters are constantly sending you stuff in the mail.  That's about it.

Years ago, I only had to muster once a year and got paid for the day. I only had to do it twice though.

They just have you come in every 6 months and try to get you to join the reserves and say you're going to deploy if you don't join the reserves.  Lame...then you update paperwork like PDHA if you deployed within a year and some other bullshit.  So you pretty much get paid around $200 to go in and make sure your paperwork is good & tell them you don't want to join the reserves.
