You might remember this from last summer, I mowed STOP OBAMA into my pasture and the thread went kind of epic.  Anyway, this year, I did mow the pasture back to normal so it is gone.  But luckily, it made Google Earth.

Not greatly noticable from space, but still enjoyable.  The barn is 40' x 48'.

Also, FUCK OBAMA!

I laid it out with stakes and string and a 100ft tape.  Took me all 4th of July 2009 weekend.  It was my gift to The People of America.

2 things.

1. how did you do the curves?

2. how did you not run over the sting when you were making a "new" letter?

The ends of the letter = the turning radius of the mower.  The other curves were eyeballed.  Here is a couple pics from last year:

Yes, we had a white Christmas and some snow last year, so I'm thinking the satellite took this image during January 2010.

Does anyone know how frequently they update google satellite photos?

Or under what circumstances?
There are large projects I've tried to view on a couple different sites. They still show 5-7 year old photos prior to the projects that I worked on.

I check it monthy maybe.

Edit:  These sites are in big cities that I would have thought would "update" more frequently.
