Saw it with my kids this weekend.

Not good, and Steve Carell has jumped the shark.

That is all.

Why is it not good and how did he jump the shark?

Ridiculously predictable story, poorly developed characters, trite dialogue.  Carells' fake accent was terrible.

The commercials looked like the accent may have been much.

I saw it and we both thought it was funny in parts.  No, I won't be buying or renting it though.

It was predictable.   I wish I would have seen it in 3d just for that rollercoaster scene.

It wasn't entirely bad, IMO. I expected much worse, given my general dislike of Steve Carell.

I liked the sign on the bank that said, "Bank of Evil ("Formerly Lehman Brothers")".

I thought it was OK.  And, there aren't many kid movies that aren't utterly predictable.

I think I was the only person in the theater that saw that and laughed.

Didnt like the way they stereotyped people from Alabama.

Saw the previews, which are supposed to be the best parts.  Feh.  I'll pass.
Saw the preview for Carell's new movie, "Dinner With Schmucks."  Looks horrible.

Hollywood has gone nuts with Carell, enough is enough.  Leave him to the small screen for awhile.

I took my daughter to see it for her birthday. We both thought it was funny. It was predictible but it was good. It is a kids movie, if the kids like it then it is good

Definitely predictable, but had funny bits. Seen better, seen worse.

I thought it was better than Toy Story 3, but my wife thinks I'm the real Gru and my opinion may be biased.

Did anybody else notice that the mini henchmen look like little yellow pills?

My 8 year old nephew saw that movie about a week ago, and said it was the funniest movie he has seen yet.

But then, he still thinks smelling peoples feet is funny. So take it all with a grain of salt. I know I'm not planning on watching it.

I saw it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Not the best cartoon I've ever seen, but it was worth seeing.  The 3D effects were really cool.

When he made a TV show where ever week the premise was I'M A RETARD

He's following down the Will Ferrell/Adam Sandler path, way too much saturation without the proper amount of hilarity to accompany it.

It's a cartoon.

On top of that, it's not a Pixar movie which means it won't be a major hit.  Pixar owns the animated genre.

I must have missed the part of Steve Carrell's career where the character he played wasn't an awkward, likable, witty guy who overcomes the odds to triumph in the end.

I loved it, predictable sure but kids movies generally are.  I laughed my ass off the first time he read the bedtime story.

I laughed quite a bit at the 2D version, loved the minions.

We saw it w/ some freinds, 4 adults and 4 kids.  We all liked it.  It's kids movie...  Not "Gone With the Wind".
