My Toshiba blew the bulb again this morning, it lasted all of 4 months
 The wife says we are buying a new TV she is done with it. She wants one that can hang on the wall, we have a 62" DLP now. I'm reading through the reviews of the new TVs now what does arfcom recommend? |

Plasma!
Don't buy based on spec-sheet, price, etc. Go down to a store and LOOK AT THEM. Not all TVs are created equal. |

You should be able to get great deals on regular plasmas and LCDs, now that the whole 3D gimmick TVs are coming out.

I see best Buy has a Samsung 3D on sale. We are going to go look at them but from what i read the 3D is too new. On the other hand the 3D sets seem to have the best 2D picture ratings also.

What are your price range and size requirements?
My friend just bought one of the LED-LCD sets and is delirious Internet connectivity, photo viewer and more. Plus the LED versions use less power, my 47" Vizio does get pretty hot when running, this does add to the AC load during the summer. |

We went and spent pretty much the whole looking at TVs. We got the Samsung UN55C7000WFXZA. They have deal going at bestbuy where they include a DVD player, the 3D glasses, the guy to come over and set it up and a movie for one price. I set it up myself for now and its pretty awesome. The picture is WAY better than our old HD tv. The DVD player and TV connect to the net and you can do Netflix and Pandora through them. The wife loves it!!

Picked up a Lg 50" Plasma at Sears a few months back foe $719 it's a 720 model but is just fine as I don't have a Blue Ray player anyway. For mounts 7 cables don't buy in a store use Mono Price
