It's gotten to the point that political correctness is finally going to get some people killed.  The sad thing is, I can't imagine anyone changing it... it seems that offending anyone's sensibilities is the worst crime you can commit anymore.

Just imagine the uproar (from the left) you'd hear if a politician said something to the effect of "Let's keep an eye on those middle easterners among us..."  Even though it's been an unfailing truth that those of middle eastern descent are the ones perpetrating the current wave of terrorism.

If you're a decent person, who happens to be from saudi, or pakistan, or anywhere else, well, you might get scrutinized a bit harder in the airport... but thats it. If you don't have any weapons or explosives strapped to you, you'll be on your merry way.  It would suck, granted, but it's an inconvenience that I think most integrated Americans from the mid east would more than understand.
