In fact they were given to them by Israel. I know this sounds strange and we have short memories, but it seems the Israelis signed up a few years ago to help Yasser set up his own state and government in the west bank and Gaza. They were of course repaid with terror.

It is not uncommon for US weapons to turn up on the international scene via nefarious channels.
It has been confirmed that Viet Nam previously supplied communist insurgents in South and Central America with captured US M16's during the 1980's. Or perhaps Olympic Arms' much ballyhooed "government contract" was really a sale to the Palestinian authority. No, that couldn't be... I've seen PLO members shoot more than three rounds without a stoppage. |

many nations are on the go list for US exports...many muslim countries have been in the past and present...Vietnam had tons of these at the end of that war..
