Anyone have an idea how long a 12 gram CO2 cartridge will last in storage? I have some that are over 5 years old that still seem to provide the same number of useful shots from a pellet pistol.

Still I imagine after a certain length of time the pressure would eventually leak out, wouldn't it?

I doubt they're going to lose anything - they're wrapped pretty tight.

The seal would be the weak point.
I'm no chemist but I doubt that the CO2 will sublimate through the steel vessel.

I've used CO2 powerlets that are over a decade old without issue. Don't worry about it.

Indefinitely, so long as the seal holds.

I've got a couple that have to be 15 years old and they are still good.
