Thanks for the big welcome..... I knew I would like it here. I have been to some of the other gun and assault weapon forums or websites. I hope you guys know how good a site you have. Some of the others make you afraid to post with some of the off the wall nutbars they have for members. I just enjoy the ar15, shooting it, cleaning it and heck sometimes I just like to stare at the stupid thing. I was in the army for 3 years and was a artillery repairman 45 Lima. I stayed so busy working on the M109's I never got to play with my M203 much. I guess I should have went infantry. What is there MOS 25 Bravo or something wasn't it? |

I have browsed on boards that I would never post on because you would get flamed for asking a simple question or stating that you prefer Cheerios over Corn Flakes. This is by far the best forum I have seen and I know you will enjoy it.

Welcome aboard. This is indeed a good website. I know what you mean about other boards. The last board i was at they would flame you for absolutely ANYTHING. it was a madhouse with alot of liberals. this is a safe place to hang out and gain ALOT of good knoledge. The rules are also inforced so you don't have some idiot running around flaming everyone and posting spam to ruin everything. And the moderators are great. (especially Eric the hun) Nice to have your company. [<]:)]

That was one on the things I noticed right off. The moderators here really don't make themselves known other than to add to the fun or information of the subject at hand. I guess they still spank the evil-doers when they get rowdy but they do it quietly and effectively. |

Yes, your AR15 is supposed to make that "sproing" sound in the stock when you fire it.

The AR15 is superior to the AK47 in the areas of accuracy and ergonomics but the AK wins regarding reliability and price. .223 vs. 5.56??? Damn it, who cares! The 7.62 has higher velocity and bullet density than the 5.56 therefore one could say it has more "knockdown power". However, there is no such thing as "knockdown power", it is a myth. Wait, maybe there is such a thing. Ahhh, nevermind! |
