For this price I am just going to get one to have an extra .22. The price is after the $25 rebate. I have heard people say it is a pretty good little rifle for the price.

I got the marlin model 60 which looks to be the same rifle except mind has a tubular magazine. I can say it is the single most accurate rifle I have ever shot.
I got it when I was about 10 and have never touched the sights on it. I used to head shoot squirrels while squirrel hunting when I was a kid. It should have the micro groove barrel. If it does you should have a tack driver. |

I used to own the predecessor, the 995. It was an awesome gun. I could shoot the primers out of shotgun shells all day at about 50 yards. Wore it out in three years of shooting 2-3 bulk packs per weekend.
If this shoots half as well as the 995 did, this is a hell of a deal. |

Meh cant get all the aftermarket goodies for those guns like you can with the Ruger 10/22 .
