So we were at the game tonight when my GFs ex, son, and not just one but TWO of her ex's friends showed up. Once again I was not carrying due to it being a public sporting event. I didn't grab my gun or do anything out of the ordinary. I didn't want them to think they intimidated me.

My GF called the police and they sent out a Marshal to straighten this out.

As soon as they showed up we were like

. Then it turns out after talking to the Marshal that he is good friends with my GFs ex. We were both like

. Then he goes on to say there is nothing that he could do since it was a public place.

I started getting pissed. I told him about what happened last time and how there was four of them this time and proceeded to ask why the hell they can't do anything about it if we are being harassed?

The Marshal (who was quite kind) said we would have to file restraining orders (which cost money that I don't have to waste)

I told my GF if this shit happens again, since there is nothing the police can do, that I am going to go straight up apeshit and just start swinging til either I am unconcious or dead.

I am sick of us not being able to enjoy a softball game that is supposed to be a stress reliever. THIS SHIT STOPS TODAY. THERE WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME. IF THERE IS SOMEONE (be it me or one of the four of them) IS GOING TO GET AN ASS WHOOPIN'

The next game is this Thursday just so y'all know. If something was to happen that I didn't make it y'all can have my guns

Before anyone says I am starting shit, this is the 2nd time this has happened and I have been calm and collected about it the whole time. However I believe that there are some people who don't understand words so I feel I have no other choice.

What would y'all do?

OP, let me give you some advice (since you are obviously in need of some, and maybe some counseling as well).

First, you are absolutely stupid for not carrying your gun. You've already dealt with them last week, you had to go get your gun (and brandished a weapon in the process), and then you return this week with the same lack of preparedness. Can you say retarded?

Second, you are way off the mark here. You've already said it's a public place, so they have just as much right to be there as you do. Get over it. Now, last week you stated that one of them sat down next to you and had some words. Fair enough. If you did not wish to have further dealings with him, you should have politely informed him of such and then moved to a different seating location. If he had then followed you, that's harrassment or stalking in most jurisdictions.

Third, escalating things in the manner you have is stupid. You a) brandished a weapon last week, b) called the cops this week just because the same guys were there, and (GASP!) they brought some friends along, and c) now you're advocating assaulting them in a public place, in front of dozens of witnesses, for no apparent reason.

Fourth, in light of your consistent pattern of unstable and potentially harmful behavior, I advise you to reconsider having ready access to firearms in general. You really do need to cool off and take some time for introspection.

Grow up dude. Until any of these guys actually threatens you with immenent assault, or actually attempts to harm you, you have no justification.

Next Thursday you should bring a batbag to the game with you. It seems normal for someone to have such things at a softball game. Damn Louisville Sluggers come in handy too when facing 4 knotheads. Don't start shit, but don't take shit. Let them get it started, then you finish it. Hopefully you can get someone like your GF to video it, and be sure to call 911 first.

Hey OP-how about just ignoring them, or avoiding the park until they tire of their childish game. Then if they find out where you decided to go hang instead, and follow you there, then file the RO. It's probably only around $20. Also, you should carry your weapon, always take the high road to try and avoid trouble, and only use it as a last resort.

This is what I was thinking. I dont want to start shit but at the same time this stuff has to stop.

What I cant understand is how one of the ex's friends can tell the Marshal that if he sees me around town somewhere that he will have his chance against me isnt considered a threat or harssment.

I have calmed down a lot and I will not instigate a fight nor do I want one. All I want is peace while watching the game.

And for all the people that say he is there to watch the game and not start stuff...Why would he want to start showing up all of a sudden when he didnt go to my GFs games once in there 18 year relationship?

Why would he show up with all of his friends on top of that?

Why would it be a total shock to everyone at the game including the other team who knows my GF and I?

Long story short, the OP's gilfriend's ex shows up at a softball game the OP was attending. This caused the OP to run to his truck and brandish a 1911. Literally no provocation from what I can tell on behalf of the "agressors."

I will start CCing to the games but I have to ask what would happen if they confronted me and there was a scuffle...not CC related and the officers asked if I have a weapon on me and I show them my CC weapon that is on me and not supposed to be in the park?
