It's been over a month since I bought it and I have had no problems.
TV is a 58 inch Samsung plasma, so the box is taking up valuable space in the garage.

Keep it til the warranty runs out. The day you toss it, wil be the day it breaks. I would just break the box down and slide it under a bed or something. If you decide to sell it, the org. box goes along way.

Are you planning on moving house/apartment while you own the TV? if so keep the box otherwise get rid of it.

I've had one of mine for almost three years.....and another for a year.

Break it down flat. Use it for a paper target backer.

Or save it to lay on the floor so you can see what's wrong with the furnace, find the water leak under the sink. Use it to lay on while you change the oil in the car. Kneel on it while working on a hard surface.

My new 47" TV came with a two year warranty, so keeping the box until that expires is not the answer I wanted to hear.

Should've bought a no-name Walmart TV that has a 90 day warranty and takes a shit on day 91.

did you get the PN58B860 model? i had that for a month and couldn't take the constant electrical buzzing.

exchanged it for the samsuck 3d un55c8000 model

Kids made a fort out of our box on day 2 post install. That was 3 years ago. Never missed it.

Made good fort, too. Dart gun darts stuck real good.

This, I put that stuff up in the attic(taped shut of course) for a year or so.

I'm holding onto mine until the warranty runs out. If I had to make some space though, it's just cardboard, polystrene, and some plastic.

If you ever need to send something big and expensive out, then a nice big roll of bubble wrap and plenty of cardboard taped up (and preferably pallet-wrapped after

) will keep it safe.

Had mine for about four years now...moved three times in that period. When hour that mobile it's a pain to keep them for our 4 LCDs, but come moving time they are really nice to have as they offer the best protection during moves, YMMV.

I still have my PS2 box after 2 years. I like to keep them so if i need to send it to get repaired i have the right box with the right packaging to box it up safe. Even after the warranty has expired.

I have it far enough back that I don't notice the electrical buzzing, and to be honest, my tinnitus sounds much worse to me.

I always keep mine until I re-sell the tv or it dies, but I also have plenty of room for boxes in my barn.

Cut it up and either use it for target backers or just put it into bags and throw it away.

DO NOT throw it away by just dragging it to the curb... I can't say how many times I've driven down various streets and seen big screen TV boxes just sitting on the curb. I just think "oh man, if I am noticing it, bad guys will notice it too..."
