I just heard the tail end of the noon news which said this morning at a work place, five people were shot, 3 of them dead. Gunman takes own life with shotgun.

Shooting started 8:15 Am, four workers killed, two workers wounded, wounded will survive.

Fellow worker said shooter used a 22 caliber rifle and a sawed off shotgun. [b]No AR15 type weapons used.[/b]

Fellow worker tells news reporter he is not surprised that shooter was person that did the shooting,  man was know to throw boxes and show fits of anger inside plant. He kept to himself, and was quiet.


Shooters name is William Lockey age 54

No reason for shootings given at this time.

Neighbors of shooter say man was a good neighbor, hardworking, and willing to help others.

Wow, I worked in South Bend this morning.

I'm getting to the point where I'll be packing at work on those days I have to terminate an employee, even though it's against corporate policy.  Today one of my guys refused to take the random drug test so he's a goner.  The official firing will take place next week.  Another victim in the WOD, but also a potential disgruntled employee who might lash out.

If your boss had to fire you for packing, would he be packing too? [;)]

What will end this kind of thing is to remove employers discression on alowing firearms on premises.  They should not be alowed to even ASK if you have a CCW, much less fire you if you do.  Its no ones business but yours, and in certain circumstances the police's, if you have a concealed weapon or not so long as you have a permit for it.
