My wife wanted a redwood planter box for the backyard. After seeing the $60 price tag on the ones in the size she wanted, I decided to make my own for about half the price.
The materials - some 3/4" x 7 1/2" boards for the side & end panels, 3/4" x 6" boards for the bottom panels, 2x4 for the supports, screen material, wood glue and nails.

All done! I still need to coat it with some sort of wood protectant once all the glue dries.
