He probably wants to know if they wand you with a metal detector because he can't afford a glock 7.

Um, about the same as any other amusement park?

I've been there several times and never even noticed security beyond maybe seeing a few guys in uniform here and there.

If you're following the rules of the establishment, you have no reason to wonder how security is.  If you plan on doing something against the rules, maybe you should find another place to go where you can respect the rules put in place by the owner of that particular piece of privately owned property.

They look in your bags/backpacks when you enter the park.  No wanding or metal detectors.
How thoroughly? Do they allow food and drink? The cheap ass in me doesn't want to pay for overpriced theme park food.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the OP's concerns run more along the lines of "can I sneak XXXX into the park" and not "will I be safe there?".  But thanks for chiming in.

Chill broski. I'm going with the rest of my senior class, so there's no way I would bring anything illegal. I just don't like paying three bucks for a bag of chips or a can of soda.

Eric is right, but hopefully after someone like the above mentioned father sues NO GUNS, INC for their asshole policy and their refusal to adequately protect him in lieu of allowing him to be armed, the rest of the business world will get the message.

Hershey is not nearly as expensive as say Disney or Kings Dominion.  IMHO for a theme park it's downright reasonable.

I love Hershey's Park.  Great place to go with the family.  Less thugs/punks/trash than at other parks, e.g., Six Flags, Kings Dominion.

Well sometimes the "security" is pretty tight, and sometimes there is "no security" and you can take a jumbo jet through the entrance.  It usually depends on the individual

Grew up there... at the time it was pretty pathetic. i am sure not much has changed since then. We were able to sneak into the park all summer long.
