I honestly cannot believe we banned chinese ammo!

Someone from Canada just told me you can get Chinese .223 for ~ $.14/rd currently.

Here is his exact words...

Chinesse ammo in bulk here can be had for as little as 14 cents a round if you look for it. And that's Canadian price, if this stuff was legal for US export you could probably have it for even cheaper.

14 cents a round sounds too good to be true, so it's likely not.

There is no chinese ammo of any kind that is commonly available. US made .223 is the only kind I've seen around and that includes from places all across Canada. Maybe a few years ago it was available but not anymore. It costs around $0.50/round for .223 here.

If he currently has a source for .223 at $0.14/round, could you find out for me where this is? I'll make a load if I buy it all up and sell it at a gunshow for twice as much.

I think China takes a different dirrection quality wise(when compared to walmart chinese crap) when it comes to their firearms, I am guessing the same goes for ammo.

My Mak-90 is nicer then any other AK i have seen, yet i got it for $300 new.

I call bullshit because I'm just barely reloading 5.56 for .141/rd currently.

Metal prices don't vary THAT much.

I don't think it is the quality that is the issue.
