In Glen Burnie Maryland (10 Miles south of Baltimore) there is a small place called Annies foot longs and subs,They have the best damn cheesburger subs and footlongs! Too bad I gave up eating meat about a year ago,everytime I pass the place I feel like cheating, but I havent yet!

If any Long Island folks read this, is Deligance still in business? It was in an industrial park in Hauppauge about halfway out on LI.
Also, there was a neat little bar&grill which might have been called something like Uncle Lester's -- the main thing I remember about it was that after drinking 100 beers there (and getting your card punched) you got a mention on their walls. |

Thai: Thai Village in Pleasant Hill Mexican: Los Panchos in Pacheco Italian: A lot, but I like Tulios in Walnut Creek cause they are pretty reasonable. Burger: Nations Korean: Koreana Kitchen in Walnut Creek or Sorabol in Emeryville. Same Difference. Chinese: Wan Fu in Walnut Creek Indian: Cafe India in Walnut Creek Sandwich and Salad: Intermezzo in Berkeley. Probably my favorite place of all but I only go there a couple time a year cause I hate to go to Berkeley. There are a couple other good places, but they are in areas I won't go into until I get my CCW permit. [:P] |

Lord Trader, have you tried Fred's downtown Philly? Proly the best cheese steak you can get in Texas. There is one in Plano at the NW Corner of 15th and Custer, next to some hair salon.

Good places to eat in DFW:
'Burgers - Snuffer's Mexican - The Blue Goose Italian - Not around here, although Covino's is the closest to good. There is a place in Savannah called Bella's that is my standard for judging all others. Seafood - Pappadeaux Japanese - Osaka for sure (lt even figured that out.) Kobe Steak House close second. BBQ - Hard to believe, but there really aren't any good joints around. If you ever travel through the Hill Country most little gas stops make their own out back and it is some of the best in TX. Chinese - I'll have to go with Jade Palace in Addison. Steakhouse - Tie - Ruth's Chris or Old San Francisco. Fine Dining - Three Forks, hands down, unless you mortgage your house and go to The Mansion. Best overall - HOOTERS, of course. Who cares if the food isn't that great! Lt - Give me a holler and we'll make a trip to one of these fine establishments this weekend. |

Ya like wings?? There's a sports bar in Ottawa, Ontario, called 'Local Hero's' You buy them buy the pound...(in 6's) Best Jumbo-jumbo wings ever... sauces are great too! It's worth the airfare just to eat there.

There's a Texaco, and much further down the road a hotel (used to be a Marriott, I think). About halfway in between (starting from the TXCo), if you turned right into the IP and went about halfway in, then a left and you'd be in their parking lot. There was an IBM subsidiary a little further down from them. But I don't think they exist any more; I looked up the name of the place in an online phone book, and nothing shows up. A tragedy. They had the absolute best calamari I've ever tasted. |

Good places to eat in DFW:
Mexican - Uncle Julio's, or this little hole in the wall on the NE corner of Plano Rd. & Beltline. (inexpensive, but quick for lunches) Seafood - Pappadeaux Japanese - Nakamoto for lunch specials, Tokyo One for all you can eat :) BBQ - Bone Dady's House of Smoke-- Kicks Hooter's ASS in fine women, and has excellent burgers, steak sandwiches, ribs, etc. (I rate this as the best restaurant!) Fogo de Chao: Brazillian BBQ!! All-you-can-eat! excellent. For inexpensive steaks, Steak Contry in McKinney. Not a high class restaurant, but they can at least cook your steak the way you ordered it-- unlike Salt Grass, Outback, etc. Humperdinks (the ones that make their own beer): I don't really like their food, but their home made root beer is awesome! Champps Americanna: Mile high turkey sandwich (had that las night) and the Chicken Cordon Blue sandwich-- all of their food looks tasty! I have tons more to list.... but no time... |

Oh yeah-- when I was up in Connecticut last December, there was this small (I mean small) Texas BBQ place-- best Texas BBQ I ever had-- they had all kinds of ribs, couple flavors, and nicely cooked. mmmmmmmmmmm........ All you can eat too!
It was near Tolland. I could probably locate it on a map or find the expense report on it, if anyone is interested on where its at... There was also this one place in Hartford, for seafood, but they were too crowded so we ended up leaving... I wish I stayed for dinner-- they had the BIGGEST DAMN LIVE LOBSTERS I HAVE EVER SEEN! |

Abingdon VA-Allisons (great ribs) Roanoke VA- The Home Place (traditional home cook'n) Luray VA- Chu Chu's (great sea food) Madison VA-Bavarian Chef (A 5 star German resturant, excellent food and great atmosphere) Williamsburg VA- Pierce's BBQ Rocky Mount VA- The olde Virginia BBQ |

You made good choices, especially the Thai place and Nations. I haven't been there in awhile but these were some of my favorites: Mexican- Taqueria on Locust Hamburgers- George's on Mt Diablo Pizza- Pinky's (great place to watch sports and drink) Breakfast- Sunrise Cafe Surf and Turf - Vic Stewarts Oh, and can't forget the Cheese steak Factory.
