I saved an image out of a thread that had an address of the AR15.com phot server. Did some photo shopping, just removed and then added new text into the pic, but couldn't get it to load. Keep getting the file to large message even after I down sized it to 100k.

I have also been unable to load images - I get the wrong format message for the automatic thumbnail option (even though it is .jpg) - but even if I load both separately and it says it was successful, image is still not there.

I haven't had a successful photo display in weeks. It loads okay, but then no visible image. Hunt101 is not working either. Where to go? |

I just did a search and found the answer. You must use Internet Explorer to upload the pic or it will not work right. So I just tried it. It worked

Ahhh Haaa! Yes, I was indeed using that nasty browser when I last successfuly loaded a pic. You may be on to something! |

I can upload a picture from my computer that I have taken myself with my camera, but when I try to download someone else's picture from the photo server, then upload it again into my gallery, I always get the "file to large" error...even when I downsize the thing to below 150k.
The picture in question was one that Wave posted with the NYPD patrol car's windows with spray paint on it, done by the protester's. The patrol car had: Courteous Professional R(something or other) ...down the side and I photoshopped it to say: Cracking Protester's Heads But the image some how or another went from less than 150k to almost a 1000k in size.

If you saved the new picture with "no compression" then it could be that big. I don't know what Photoshop calls the setting, but sometimes it's marked "quality." Try bumping it down a level.
