Subscription notices but not subscribed?

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Subscription notices but not subscribed?

I keep getting thread update emails for threads that I didn't subscribe to. Any way to fix this?

Go to the thread and unsubscribe, or turn of the emails from your subscrptions. The envelope should show a red x not a green check.

The problem is that I'm not really subscribed to these threads. If I click on "subscriptions," nothing shows. Most of the threads are about stuff that I don't care about.

I went and changed my preferences. I hope that stops the unwanted emails.

I said "no more emails" but I keep getting updates from threads that I've never looked at. This is getting aggravating.

I haven't seen any reports of this in GBs current thread http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1940617_New-FEEDBACK-THREAD-for-the-new-site--Please-try-to-not-spam-it-with-the-same-stuff-.html but I could have missed it there's a lot.

You could try subscribing then unsubscribing to the threads that are notifying you. Moderators can't see anything in the database or the back end it's not something we can find or turn off.

I solved the problem by changing the email address to my tertiary email address, it can fill with crap and won't bother me.

I had the same problem start a few days ago. Hadn't subscribed to any threads but somehow had become subscribed to a forum for example: equipment exchange/holsters. After digging around, I discovered that I was subscribed to a forum and could unsubscribe from the button on the forum not a thread.

A great thought and something to check for, especially if it's an email about a new thread. The Subscribe to forum button is right next to new topic button. Currently)
