Damn, so now, we have search the entire board to categorize our thread.

No more car and bike talk in GD.

Anything gun related in Armory.

Why not just have a category for every damn topic out there, and close General Discussion?

I need a list of approved topics for GD.

Whatever you do, don't mention God or morality or "Whamo" you're in the religious section.

Surely we don't want concepts of absolute right and wrong discussed in the open, do we?

i had a feeling this was coming.

the other forums are low traffic and staff has requested mods move specific topics to their appropriate forums. Goatboy edited the code to automaticly make a link to moved threads.

if you specifically want a technical topic to remain in GD.... ie need a fast answer, it might be a good idea to include such a request in the thread.

A good example was Tate's thread requesting immediate help on an automotive issue. I left it in GD until 12 hours after the last response was posted - then I moved it to the Car & Bike Forum.

I don't see the problem. Isn't that the whole point of having all those other forums?

If you want to put it in the GD just because you think it'll gte more traffic then that's just dumb. Odds are the people who respond to a thread (as specific as what would require them to be in their appropriate forums) will actually give an intelligent response as opposed to the goof-fest that is the GD.
