When a member subscribes to a post why must they get a notice every time someone posts to it? One notice that a reply has been made to a subscribed post would be plenty. I have seen this in use on other forums. One example is Glock Talk. If this could be implemented it would sure make it easier on the e-mail boxes that are already stuffed with other things. Of course AR-15.com notices are the best things. Just to many of them.

Thanks

Each time a new post is made to a thread, the board has no way of knowing if you've read it since last message went out, or if there will be any new posts.  So each new post is an event that requires a notification.

I don't use GlockTalk so I don't know how it works.  Does it "unsubscribe" you each time it sends a notice?
