It would be useful to have a section (perhaps attached to the Competition shooting forum) that categorizes various shooting competitions available. What would be nice to see in a glance would be what type of rifle is used, what procedures are followed (range, rate of fire, spotting, etc), what organizations can be contacted (with links, if available), and any associated rules or guidelines. Maybe also, what types of results are normally winning such events...

If you wanted to get into benchrest shooting, high power shooting, or any other type of competition... you could simply refer to this site as a starting point. It could also help see whether your rifle would qualify or how much modifications would be required.

Anyway, this would be useful to provide such a point of reference. If such a thing already exists.... forgive me... :-)
