I've flown out of an airport in SW Missouri that not only has a dogleg, it's lower in the middle than at the ends. I've been in a flare while flying around the bend. It has power lines on the East end and trees on the West end, but truth is, it's mostly long enough that they shouldn't be an issue.
There is a runway near Richmond, Va. that has a hump that blocks the line of sight to the other end; hopefully everyone uses unicom.
I know of two private fields on the sides of mountains where takeoff and landings happen in one direction only. The runway in Colorado includes instant altitude on departure - you're flying whether you're ready or not. There's a similar (closed) runway in California that departs over a ledge. It's still good enough for a T Craft.
Springfield Downtown airport looks like it was designed by someone with a Hot Wheels track. It's narrow and wavy.
