Looking for a ballpark estimate for labor only for a framing crew. I'm in SE Michigan and will be subbing out the framing of my house this summer. General details are:

2,000 sq ft ranch with walkout basement and a 600 sq ft bonus room above the garage. Floor will be trusses, roof will be trusses, bonus room will be room in attic trusses. Exterior walls will be 2x6 and there are minimal walls inside (very open floor plan).

I'll be getting quotes in another month....I was just looking for a "general" guide as I've never hired anything out- always did my own. Would love to be able to frame it myself to save the money but I work too much.

Pricing out framing is difficult, really depends on what you want the crew to be responsible for.

I would start looking for framing crews now, go to a lumber yard and talk with a rep. They can help you pick a crew out of a bunch, visiting their other job sites in the morning and the evening will give you a good idea on how the crew operates. You don't want a bunch of tweaking, alcoholic guys running your job, this is a very well know fact when it comes to framing crews so choose wisely.
