How thick can the 12ton bend? What are the limitations of the 12ton?
ETA: How the heck do I use the coupon? I cant fingure out how to attach the coupon to the individual item. |

Get the 20 ton.
Besides the increased capacity, the framework is theoretically stronger on the 20 ton. The weak link on the Harbor Freight units is the frame, so get the beefier one. You will never say "I have too much press", but you could easily run into situations where you are saying "I wish I had a bigger press". |

Ok, if you're using the coupon online, put just the press in your cart and then put in the code. The code is right under the barcode so 92369034.
Reason for the heavier for bending is less wear and tear on the press. |

And buy 4 cement blocks to set it on. Those things are either designed for short Asians or designed to ship on the cheap.

I've used the HF 12 ton to press my wheel bearings together (Tacoma) without difficulty, though as it grunts and groans one wonders about Chinese steel. A friend managed to gently bend some of the adjustable height selection rods doing some long-forgotten suspension work on a Land Rover. Still works just fine.
