I saw only part of it as it was showing on another screen at the drive in.

The movie I was seeing was "Enter The Ninja" so this would have made it circa 1981-82.

Well that is the movie we were suppossed to be watching.

But what me and my friends kept turning around to look at was a movie where a topless chick was being held down in a chair with a plastic bag over her head.

My initial search led me to believe it might have been the film "Black Christmas" (1974) which also featured a plastic bag murder but it isn't the same scene and the girl in that one wasn't topless.

But nostalgic curiousity still has me looking for this movie.

Anyone know what it is?

The Life of David Gale? Has Kevin Spacey, and there is a plastic bag scene with nudity...

That one is about 20 years too new.

I bet Steyr's basement is a very interesting and scary place to be.

Maybe it was the remake of Black Christmas.  IIRC it had Margot Kidder in it, and less nudity.

Maybe some repressed memories from your mis-spent youth?

That was the 1974 original version she was in.

Nah, just one of the slasher films typical of the early 80s such as Friday the 13th.

Holy crap, that reminds me, I gotta get Saturday the 14th on DVD.

For some reason I keep thinking it is a scene from "The Eyes of Laura Mars".

I don't think it is. The time frame doesn't exactly fit and this one was more of a low budget slasher style film.

I've also seen The Eyes of Laura Mars and don't recall it being in there.

SteyrAUG, did you ever find those 2 missing DVDs that Fuckstick and Assmunch got ahold of?
Clue and Overboard IIRC.

No, but I replaced them.

I might have 2 candidates, could be "House of Death" (1982) or maybe even the slasher parody "Student Bodies" (1981).

"The Killing Fields", about the fall of U.S. backed Cambodian government in
1975 and rise of Khmer Rouge. A scene where girl Khmer Rouge soldier kills
a man using a plastic bag over his head. Think it came out in the early 80's

Right actors, right seen, just wrong name. The movie was called Malone and came out in 1987. This is the movie that came to my mind when I saw the post title.

We start where most movies end!!!! I thought I was the only person who had ever seen it. I went through a weird horror movie phase when I was about 8 years old and watched all those movies....even saw a faces of death. The two movies that really scared the shit outta me from my childhood were "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" and "The Town That Dreaded Sundown". Probably not all that scary, but they were to an 8 year old.

Definitely worth watching even if it's not the one you remember. It did come out in 1981. You'll probably like it better than Gummo.

I vaguely remember the breather guy.

Watched it on cable way back then.

Actually I used the IMDB power search and narrowed it down quite a bit using "thriller" as a key word. and eliminating all TV movies and in English. Sorry I couldn't get it to link.
