OK so what are your favorite types of movies? Do you like being scared out of your wits by a crazy horror flick? Or do you prefer to laugh so hard that you bust ass? What is it that that you like?

Horrors and comedies mainly but I do like the SciFi realm.

Action.

Most comedy movies are pretty stupid, sci-fi are usually crap, drama isnt my thing, and horror movies dont scare me... Last horror movie I watched I got a boner right in the middle of one of the "frightening scenes".

I watch pretty much anything though.

It has to have the essential components, in no particular order:

1) Sexy Women

2) Car Chases

3) Automatic Weapons

4) Huge Explosions

5) Cool "One Liners"

6) Gratuitous Violence

If it doesn't have any of this; leave it in the display case; 'cause it's a chick flick...

If the movie has all of these requirements, but the main characters are three bimbos and a guy named "Charlie"; then it becomes null and void and it becomes a Chick Flick by default...

I DON'T DO CHICK FLICKS.

What I have odd varying tastes. Some of my favorite movies are; The Wraith, Halloween 1&2 (they really are the same movie), Animal House, and Red Dawn. Then you have the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness series. Funny and semi-scary.

Movies with frequent and well executed righteous violence interlaced with non vulgar humor.

If I have to choose, then bring on the skull bashing.

i have trouble picking a favorite from what you listed--a good story, decent acting, and cool effects are important

it doesnt have to be a BELIEVEABLE story, just make sense within the context of the movie

i have actors i prefer, but the more lib-tard noise they make, the less i like to watch them--i have been a Tom Cruise fan since i was 15, but didnt see MI-3 beacuse he has been so

for the last year

i rarely watch chick flicks, anymore than i read romance novels--one i got married and realized it was all BS, i cant tolerate it

I was only able to post 5 choices up there so I tried to post the most general ones that I could.

Feel free to expand on your guys post if there are other types of movie that you like and why. Those are not the only ones out there.

Comedy and action for me but my wife is a horror fan so I end up watching those also.

For me the movie must have have the following criteria. A good or beleivable plot. Credibe acting. A decent script. If it is set during a certain period then everything from the clothing, language, and expecially the weapons must be accurate. Guns that fire and function according to make and the actors know how to use them. Babes fem fatals, damsels in distress, or both as long as they are hot and not a pc femanazi. Violence either beleivable violence or if it's a comedy in the vain of the Three stooges. And finall the most important thing a movie is that it cannot be in any shape or form PC nothing iritates me more than watching the deleted scenes from a movie that were edited for political correctness.

I would like to see an original movie idea. Not some book adaptation or American remake but an original concept. Most of the major blockbusters have been either those or sequels.
