The New World, Terrance Malick's ode to Jamestown, Pocahontas, and John Smith, is quite visually stunning.

Not exactly what I expected, but still a very fine film.  The visuals were amazing, much like Malick's work in The Thin Red Line.

Colin Farrell as Captain John Smith was quite good.  Christian Bale as John Rolfe also put in a good performance.

Well worth seeing on the big screen.  I had been waiting almost a year for this film.  Certainly took it long enough to find it's way to my area.
