We all know that Heat is the all time greatest, but what are some of the other best heist movies??? I submit Dead Presidents as one of the lesser known movies.

Two of the best... the standard by which the others should be judged.

The Asphalt Jungle
The Killing

The Italian Job ..... Starring Michael Caine....... Not that Wahlberg prick...

The Heist is ok, interesting way to blow up a safe at least.

But HEAT rules the roost.

The Thomas Crown Affair  (either version - they both have their merits IMO)

Welcome to Collinwood  (short on action, long on great writing and acting)

After the Sunset  (beautiful scenery [however you define it ], fun/enjoyable movie but nothing earth-shattering)

The Ladykillers  (just plain funny)

And I liked Entrapment, but most folks didn't...

I can't believe they haven't been mentioned yet (not even by me ), but...

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

and, of course

Reservoir Dogs  (IMHO one of the very best re: a heist-gone-wrong and its aftermath...)

After watching RD, I was extremely disappointed.  It ws probably one of the best cast lineup, but just horribly done.  Yes I'm sure I'll get flamed, but I'm glad I didn't pay too much for it.

You probably would have been more impressed if you hadn't seen dozens of knock offs before seeing the original. There have been countless movies, videos, and even commercials that have copied it. When it came out 13 years ago, it was revolutionary.

I think it was more in line with everyone hypes up this movie so much,  I was expecting so much more.

Yes, it does not have the clever twists and turns of most Tarantino films. It's just raw macho dialogue and in your face violence.

I loved the beginning with the Hasidic Jews/thieves going through all the security.  Franky Four Fingers' monologue is basically how the whole belief of Jesus as the Messiah is just a big misunderstanding through poor translation, it's pretty funny.

Though I HATE Clooney, Ocean's Eleven was a damn entertaining flick.

The Score is great.

Big +1 on Ronin.

Does Way of the Gun count?  It should.

I like the Heist
Noone metioned thunderbolt and Lightfoot
I mean shooting the safe open with a 20mm whats not to like and it was a halfway true story
(I did a search but could not find any info on the guy that used a supressed 20mm cannon to blow off a valut door years ago I remember it cuz he used a 55gallon barrel for a supressor )
