Probably considered boring and/or slow moving by most but I'm really enjoying them.  Centered around a middle aged police chief dealing with alcohol and an ex wife he can't seem to let go of.  Also helps he usually has a four legged companion.

Good chilled out viewing while wiping down guns when it is raining outside.

I had the whole set. Makes more sense if you watch them in order. When he had to put down his dog.........

I like them. Low key. Not overly melodramatic. I did realize there were 9 though.

The 9th one, Lost in Paradise, was made for the Hallmark Channel after CBS dumped the series.

Night Passage
Stone Cold (actually the first to air)
Death in Paradise
Sea Change
Thin Ice
No Remorse
Innocents Lost
Benefit of the Doubt

There’s a tenth one that’s planned, but it’s been 6 years since the last one...

Seems like I heard that Tom Selleck put up his own money for the last one.
Never understood why more weren't made.

Between the moody musical scoring and the lighting, they create really neat atmosphere.

I've watched each one multiple times.

Tom got busy with his cop show and Hallmark backed out of the 10th movie because of scheduling. That is what I last heard.

Not sure which book was going to be the basis of the movie...

There waa talk of getting a reboot with another actor. (?)

I just got through the third show.  I am really digging it.  Not a William Devane fan but like his shrink on the show.  "I want a drink."  "So do I."  I like when addiction is portrayed reasonably well.  Spoiler, feeling bad about Suitcase getting shot.
