Saw Prometheus on Saturday and thought it was excellent. Not a game changed like "Alien" was, it is still collection worthy.
I also watched "The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford" earlier today. Dark, brooding film. I like the element the narration adds to the atmosphere. Great cast and score make for a memorable film. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I just started watching Eureka. So far I like it, cool scifi show.
About to finish up season 5 of Burn Notice and I really enjoy that show. Supernatural, Psych, Entourage, and Castle are a few others I keep up with once Netflix releases the seasons. |

Hooked on Big Bang Theory, only just discovered it...
Last movie was Safe with Jason Statham... a pretty good beer / action flick... |

Michael Yon: ""The meek have inherited this plot of earth because the strong don’t want it enough to take it." |
Last show was "Black Books" on Netflix. Hilarious.
Last movie was "The Prisoner of 2nd Avenue." Also hilarious.

I've been slowly but surely getting some of the old MST3K shows on dvd from Amazon and Cheepnis. Godzilla VS Megalon (or whatever) last night. "He's got a tree!!" "This is not the Godzilla we know!!" Godzilla can also drop kick apparently. Rex Dart-Eskimo spy.

Last movie watched: Prometheus this past Saturday. I'm still unsure of how I feel about it.
Last TV show watched: Futurama Season 3 episodes "Amazon Women in the Mood" and "Parasites Lost". |

Godzilla can also drop kick apparently. Rex Dart-Eskimo spy. in some of the old ones ive seen him do a drop kick, i seen 2 or 3 of the remakes they started doing in the 90's and up till now. I still watch the american version too, but its more like filler till there is another godzilla movie on. I forgot i had just watched the Hatfields and Mccoys on tv. that was a pretty solid western series. |

And yet, they are most certainly emotionally retarded. Minion of Snow #006 |
Rampart (with Woody Harrelson) - Absolutely awful movie, terrible in every respect
Man on a Ledge - Not bad, worth the watch just for the chick Safe House - Very good, worth watching again (typical Denzel character, but I was impressed with Reynolds in this film) |

Planet Hulk on Netflix.
Hulk smashes everything.... |

I finally watched Shame a couple days ago. Fassbender really should have been nominated for an Oscar. Great movie overall, not for everyone though.

Prometheus in IMAX 3D about an hour ago.

We finally watched back Hatfields & McCoys off the DVR last week, last "movie" we watched (other than catching part of GWTW for the umpteetnth time the other night) –– a bit coarse for a TV miniseries (language, etc.) but well done IMO.
The last new series episode we watched was the Burn Notice season premiere. (We all enjoy that show.) (We were out of town visiting family all weekend, so no real watching of any kind.) |

I picked up a copy of Act of Valor last Tuesday and finally got to watch it Thursday. I didn't care for the acting but the action scenes were great. Towards the end of the movie they did a scene through the perspective of the shooter. You could hear the heart rate and breathing rise and see the sight alignment of his pistol. I thought it was pretty good.

Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom

Last Movie: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Last Show: Better Off Ted Season 2 |

We went to the theater for the first time in probably a year last weekend to see the Avengers. It was awesome.
I watched modern marvels "90's Tech" about an hour ago on History channel 2. GPS and digital cameras have come a long way. |
Josey Wales last night. One movie that I just don't seem to get tired of. "Get ready, little lady. Hell is coming to breakfast."
The last movie I watched was "Apocalypse," some terrible 1990s b-movie about the rapture and the antichrist. Some movies are so bad they're good. This one was just bad.

I watched Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance last night on DVD.
So-so comic sequel (I read the old comics as a child, and recall enjoying the first one) with some interesting FX... but, for some reason, I always seem to enjoy Nicolas Cage in movies in spite of myself (God help me! ). |

I just watched Act of Valor tonight. It was okay. I realized that, although the action sequences were well choreographed and the cinematography was excellent, the fact that they used real Navy seals left something to be desired from a standpoint of character development. I just didn't really feel the emotional investment in certain scenes because, well, they're real military men and not actors. It's worth a watch. That's for sure.

I watched The Change Up last night with my wife (kids are out of town, at my folks').
Parts of it were quite funny... others, a little disturbing. |

romantic comedy about two CIA agents/best friends fighting over the same woman. It was a little slow at the start, but picked up as the show went on ps - the paintball scene was hilarious also watched Ray. the bio pic about Ray Charles starring Jaime Foxx it was done really well done and Foxx was great as Ray Charles |

I half-watched a few movies off the DVR the past two nights while working on some rifles –– The Grey (good movie, I didn't love the ending); Hangover 2 (it had its moments); Easy A (funnier than I expected it to be); The Tournament (utterly disappointing).

Watched "Where Eagles Dare" and "A Face in the Crowd" last week. Both were really good.
Next up is "Badlands." |

Got the entire series of "Sledgehammer" the police satire from the 80's on DVD and have been watching it lately. Also "The Black Adder" series on Netflix.
I watched John Carter (not horrible IMO, but I can see why it didn't do well) and Red Tails (better than I expected it to be) in the background last night while working on some rifles. My wife and kids have been out of town this week, so I've been assembling/tinkering and burning off movies they aren't interested in watching with me.

Watched Road to Perdition on the airplane home yesterday.

Watched "Badlands" night before last. Beautifully filmed, and I still don't know what to make of it. Something about celebrity and innocence.
Last night was "East of Eden." That's a great movie, even if James Dean's acting style is sometimes a Marlon Brando impersonation. |

The Professionals with Marvin and Lancaster The WIld Bunch.....always awesome director's cut last weekend went with the better half for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter |

Skimmed through Hobo with a Shotgun last night. . Just . YMMV.
Faster was okay for something I was only half-watching. |

Ok, watched Chronicle a couple of days ago, and it wasn't bad. I'll admit my expectations were low, but thought it was worth the watch. Watched 21 Jumpstreet last night, and was thoroughly disappointed. It just wasn't very funny, although I did get a kick out of the coach's character.

Act of valor on bluray
watched The Safe House w/ Denzil Washington and Ryan Reynolds - pretty good spy flick, except for the 'I filmed this entirely on my I-phone' camera work
also watched Bad Ass - about a Vietnam Vet who beats down some thugs on an LA bus, and then gets mixed up in a big LA politician/ corruption scandal trying to find the killers of his best friend - meh |
"Final Destination 5."
Was pretty lame compared to some of the innovative ways they killed off the kids in previous ones. |
Contraband, awful
Safe house , maybe tomorrow night. |
I watched drive angry a few nights ago. The cars and the one sex scene shootout was probably the best part of the movie. Season of the witch was much better.
The Prestige. Haven't seen it in a few years so I thought I would watch it again.
watched In the Shadow of the Moon - a very well done documentary about the Apollo space program
features interviews with Apollo astronauts and their recollections about their missions, very interesting. a lot with Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, 2/3 of the Apollo 11 crew, the first mission to land a man on the moon If you are a fan of the space program from that era, I recommend checking it out |
Anapolis. Was pretty good.
I watched Braveheart for the first time last night. Good movie. I don't know how I managed to never see it all these years.
I saw The Proposition the other day. Very good, somewhat strange Australian "western" movie. I saw Get the Gringo recently. Excellent movie.
