Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Mine is the complete Rosary.  It is actually more of a meditation using a set of prayers than any thing else.

So what are your favorite prayers?

I used to be a big fan of the Rosary.   Joyful Mysteries were my favorite.

I don't pray the Rosary anymore.

One of my favorites is called "The Deeps".  It's a Puritan prayer.

The Deeps:  Lord Jesus, give me a deeper repentance, a horror of sin, a dread of its approach. Help me chastely to flee it and jealously to resolve that my heart shall be Thine alone.
Give me a deeper trust, that I may lose myself to find myself in Thee, the ground of my rest, the spring of my being.
Give me a deeper knowledge of Thyself as saviour, master, lord, and king.
Give me deeper power in private prayer, more sweetness in Thy Word, more steadfast grip on its truth.
Give me deeper holiness in speech, thought, action, and let me not seek moral virtue apart from Thee.
Plough deep in me, great Lord, heavenly husbandman, that my being may be a tilled field, the roots of grace spreading far and wide, until Thou alone art seen in me,
Thy beauty golden like summer harvest,
Thy fruitfulness as autumn plenty.
I have no master but Thee,
no law but Thy will,
no delight but Thyself,
no wealth but that Thou givest,
no good but that Thou blessest,
no peace but that Thou bestowest.
I am nothing but that Thou makest me.
I have nothing but that I receive from Thee.
I can be nothing but that grace adorns me.
Quarry me deep, dear Lord, and then fill me to overflowing with living water.

(This prayer was taken from the book, The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers & Devotions, edited by Arthur Bennett

"Heaven Desired" is really good too.

My favorite? Probably the best prayer in the Bible.

John 17:9-26 NKJV

I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We [are]. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, [are] in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare [it], that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.

1st chapter of the Quran:

1:1 In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.
1:2 Praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds.
1:3 The Almighty, the Merciful.
1:4 King of the Day of Judgment.
1:5 You alone we serve, and You alone we seek for help.
1:6 Guide us to the straight path.
1:7 The path of those whom You have blessed.
1:8 Not those who have incurred the wrath, nor the misguided.

Mat 6:9-6:13 KJV

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Divine Power of God,
cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

I believe prayer is a time when we in our heart and soul communicate to God. I was born and raised as a Catholic and I've said my share of rosaries so I do not condemn those who do. But for me, I found that using examples found in God's word of others who prayed to God, I do not need to use specific words. Prayer is something that should be done in both Joy and Sorrow. Think of how we must sound to our earthly fathers if all we did was turn to them in times of trouble. We would sound like ungrateful children. Our heavenly father is far more deserving of our thoughts and heart.

If you need to pray to dead people whom are not God or worship the same I do not understand why. My favorite prayer is anytime I talk to God. Thanking the Lord for all he has done, all he shall do and allowing me to walk in His word, His continuing blessings, His continuing challenges and for His Son who died for all of us.

I try and spend the 1st minute of any new thing that I am doing in a day talking to God.
