Historically, previous popes called Christians together and funded crusades when Muslims slaughtered Christians and desecrated Christian sites in the Levant.  Why is the modern day pope reluctant to do anything but pray for peace?  As the head of the largest, richest, most powerful organization in the world, why are we sitting idly by while Christian brothers and sisters are being slaughtered for their faith?  If I have overlooked something and there is an armed movement in the works, where do I sign up?
