Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - P0742 - Torque converter clutch circuit stuck on

I get this code pop up for a day or so every couple of months.  Car bucks a bit right around shifting at 25-30 mph.  Usually doesn't stay on long enough to get the car to the mechanic.  I've read on the internet this can be anything from needing the fluid replaced, replacing the valve, to an entire transmission rebuild.  



Thoughts?  This is on a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with about 130K.  Transmission last flushed about 50K ago.  Was going to get it flushed this week just for routine maintenance.  Worth adding some Sea Foam or Lubeguard?

Yeah it probably does need a new soenoid or switch or something..if you're getting a cel for the circuit being stuck on, then its prob electrical and an easy fix. I'd take it to a shop before its too late, though.
edit: I wouldn't put anything in it until I brought it to the shop, might save you a few bucks.
