8.1 engines get better than the 6.0. I have seen 6.0 engines get 8-12 mpg. Some 8.1 I have seen get 15 mpg.

My dad has an 04 8.1 GMC Sierra, 3500 with a utility box on the back and he's lucky if he gets 6-10 MPG. |

I don't think GM makes the 8.1 anymore.

My dad is fixing to get a new work truck from his work either next year or end of this year. I'm surprised they quit with the 8.1. |
