Welcome to 10years ago.

J/K.  Bugs were my hobby back in Junior High.  You can almost get any kit you want for them, its crazy.  To tell you how "into it" I was, I can tell you the difference between several model years, like the '67 and so on, the '53 split window and the '55oval, the '71 and '72, the '73 and the '74...what engine sizes came out when (or a damn good guess), like the 1600cc that came out in 1973, I think....etc etc etc.

Probably 30~ people that could walk circles around me in their knowledge of old fords or chevys, and then there is the guy that will argue till youre blue in teh face that Chevy never made a 289ci engine ('67 1/2 Camaro Z28.  first one, combined a 327 block and 283 crank, or the vice versa).

As neat as that kit is, it ain't an entirely original concept.

Aw come on...you've gotta admit it's kind of cool!

It beats the hell out of driving a VW Beetle!

Somebody in my neighborhood has one.

Actually that is pretty cool.

I wonder if it might be easier to mod up one of the old VW Thing's to look like one. edit..oops... someone had the same idea... ^^

What's next? Are they going to make a Hummer that's based off the Chevy Aveo?  Will they make one that can fit in my pocket? WTF?

I saw an H2 at the Jewel parking lot tonight, my dad says "that sure is ugly."

Don't forget the 283 block with the 327 crank made the 307 crapmotor..

The Old's 307?  It was a good engine, albeit gutless below 30 and mine had a the tapping lifter from hell.  The cool thing about it was that it would do 130mph without breaking a sweat and got the same mileage at 30 as it did at 130.

Yep, had one in my '69 Z/28 Camaro - sure wish I still had that car.

Paid about $3K for it, one exactly like mine went on Barret-Jackson for $91K!!!!!!

I like the H2, and it drove nice.

However, watching the fuel economy computation in the DIC dip into the single digits scared me pretty good.

To each their own, I guess.  If you like rolling friges on wheels, it's the truck for you.
