I've almost exclusively run Penzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum in it, with great results (power band smoothness and mileage). I've been running Edge in my Pentastar with great results, so I thought I'd try it in the VQ. The VQ is a daily driver, so I am sensitive to its mileage, so I'll try to report back with some observations.
And yea, I know I'm splitting hairs here, and thankfully most all modern oils are overkill. I'm just a tire, oil, and fuel system cleaner geek.

I would have more confidence in Castrol products over Penzoil. After nearly 50 year working on engines, the cleanest engines even with very high mileage all ran Castrol oil and changed the oil at reasonable amount of miles. The dirtiest engines I have worked on use Penzoil, was very common to have a heavy waxy build up and many times oil galleys were severely plugged up
