We round to the nearest half pound. Was the condenser clogged or something? If it had all leaked out, that would explain. I notate on my tickets "Recovered X.XX lb pure R134a / Charged Y.YY lb" and the writer charges the difference to the nearest half pound.

A lot of times the system may have pressure and only recover .05 lb or such.

Oh yeah, I've done a few of those. Weird design.

I would, in fact call them out on it. I would have charged  you for the evacuate/recharge and full AC svc at 1.0 (Aftermarket book shows 1.4) no charge on refrigerant, replace condenser @ whatever book time is, and any additional fluid/hose clamps/line.
