I come across this website which sells one share at a time. I'm thinking about buying a share of Exxon Mobil, but I would like to know if anyone here has any expiriences with buying either with oneshare or one stock at a time.

All I know of the matter is that these are bought for artistic value. It's still one share, but purchased to be framed and displayed.

I haven't heard any bad things , just that people are going crazy for Pixar since it won't be around shortly.

And if you ever go to sell you get slammed with an 'odd lot' charge, and all the hassle of a paper  certificate.  Like a 'signeture guarentee' from a bank.
They are really a decorative conversation piece now.
Many stocks are not even available in paper.  Book entry only.

Just wondering what your reasoning is for this?

if you want to diversify like that , i would rather get a S&P500 indexes or NASDAQ 100 trust or something like that.

Unless you get a share of BRKa or GOOG.
