I noticed over the last 5 years the market starts an uptrend around Thanksgiving.

Are you expecting the same this year or is the fiscal cliff going to kill it?

It's kind of hard not to go up when you hit rock bottom and the fed pumps cash into the system.



Also, market tops are typically more volatile than bottoms.

All bets are off this year with the fiscal cliff.  Timing has nothing to do with it this time around.

If it gets resolved or delayed a year it'll be an instant rally.  If we go over, it'll be an instant bear market.

Rarely do we have a FUTURE market event that is so clearly defined.  Because of that fact, there are smart folks who will make millions on this, you can count on it.

Black Friday will suggest what happens.  However, I don't expect it to go as well as it has before.  Holiday spending was not as good last year either.
 
Why?  Forty-seven plus million Americans are Free Sh*t Army EBT cardholders.  Unemployment is higher than the official goobmint figures.  It's over 20%.  There has been no economic recovery and everything we're seeing are multiple attempts to re-inflate the deflating bubbles.
