After more than seven months of negotiations and a 36-day long contract holdout, the Jets have agreed to terms with All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis, the team announced.
Terms of the contract were not immediately available. The Jets open the season against the Ravens a week from today, so the signing came just in the nick of time. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2010/09/jets_darrelle_revis_agree_to_t.html Talk about waiting til the last possible minute... Good to hear it's finally happened, though. It wouldn't have been as entertaining not being able to see #1 WRs being shut down.

Revis is a douche. When you sign a contract, you should honor that contract. Jets had to cut Tony Richardson, a well-respected veteran team leader, to come up with enough cash to pay the greedy douchebag Revis.

The douchebaggery is even worse, I was listening to the sirius nfl channel and Revis was overheard saying he'd do it again in 2 years to make another fist-full.
And he'll be vilified. Fans put up with it this time, but it will backfire on him if he tries it again. |
