I have Mcafee, and run a scan frequently but I have a suspicion that I may have unwanted programs.  What program or process do you recommend?

Also, how about a good defrag program?

Thanks,

I've been real happy with Bitdefender, and I got three 1-year licenses to their full suite for $70.

Antivirus: Sophos is the best.

Malware:  AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy, use both.

Defrag: O&O, best, hands down.

I like AVG. I use their security suite (includes antivirus, antispyware, firewall). Windows defender for an additional antispyware. I've heard good things about bitdefender as well, however, I like AVG's user interface. Adaware and spybot, WHEN USED TOGETHER, is a pretty good combination. You can't use to many antispyware programs. Some love Norton and Mcafee, but they seem to be resource hogs.

On a side not, this is my first post, and it isn't about guns
