I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that is capable of "ripping" a segment from a DVD video.  I've tried some of my existing software, but none of it will recognize the .VOB files.

We normally have a volunteer do some of this stuff, but I have a really close deadline and I'm savvy enough if I have the software.

I found this AOA DVD Ripper.  I'll see how it works.

I think this would be much easier with just a DVD recorder.  I'm trying to rip the two clips as AVI (DIVx) files, but I'd like to put them back onto a DVD-R so that it'll play in any DVD player.

Any recommendations?
