This just in from our Apple rep, Windows Vista will apparently be supported on the Intel macs. He claimed they would have the entire product line switched over to Intel by the end of this year.
In other news, Firewire 800 is as good as dead. Adapters will be available for the next generation machines, but I wouldn't buy the stuff new.
Servers, as always, are on the back burner. Apple rackmounts suck, and the forecast is for continued suckage.
There are no plans now to support OS X on non-apple machines.
The new processors HAUL ASS. The software so far does not other than iLife and iWork (he seemed pleased with iWork, which sounded like a Word/Powerpoint package. Never used it myself).
Microsoft has of course pledged another 5 years of OS X support, which is a mixed blessing I suppose.
