Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - help hooking up new lexmark color all-in-one

Just got a new printer for christmas and it didn't come with a cable.I noticed it takes a usb cable and I only have one usb port which I'm using for a camera.What do I need to hook it up,can I get another usb port put in my computer and what would that cost,can I get some kind of adapter to use the printer port on my computer.thanks for any help Todd

You want to use USB, not the (much slower) printer port.

You need a 4 port USB hub, AKA a dongle.



You plug that into your USB port in your computer then you have 4 open USB ports.  Even with the 2 you'll be using, there will be 2 more free.

They sell them at Wal-Mart and everywhere else.
