I know what to look for in the source code for the page in question.
But - Id need to handle the captcha for login, after that it would run on its own

You want what is called a "web scraper" app.  Most of them are Linux based.

Excel used to be able to grab data from websites with a Macro, but I don't know how to do it.

automation testing does stuff like this.

autoit used to be free for private use.

I haven't used it in a while, looks like they went a bit more main stream.
It would let you record clicks and typing, take screen shots and do something scripted when it hits some trigger.
I don't know if it is good enough to do a captcha.

i kind of got it working with Selenium IDE - its a FF/Chrome extension.
I have it waiting 5 secs at the beginnning for me to solve CAPTCHA, then it takes over.
I found out how to test for the condition - all thats left is figuring out how to do a script when the condition is met.
