Looking for something I can connect to a laptop while in the field. I see some with actual keypads for passwords and with encryption but just when I think I've found something, I find sketchy reviews. What does the hive use? I don't need something with a ton of storage. Even 500 GB would be plenty since I would be dumping it onto a home PC.

Damn dude, just buy a separate computer for all your gay midget porn if you're that worried about security.

Edited: wait a minute though. Can you have Veracrypt on two different PCs and open the same container on a portable drive?

So in other words, can I have V on a laptop and do some work on a portable drive, and have V on a desktop and open the same container on the portable drive?

I know during setup you make random movements with your mouse and it would be impossible to make the same movements on two PCs.

Yep. I've been using Truecrypt then Veracrypt since '06 when I had my laptop stolen and I spent until 6am the next morning changing passwords and trying to remember what all I had on there and what all I needed to change. Ever since then I've had an encrypted container on my computers with anything I care about anyone getting in it (with Firefox and Thunderbird for email you can have your data in the same folder as the program and those folders in the encrypted container) . I also have my USB backup drives encrypted the same way.

You can't have the same container open on two computers at the same time. You can use the same container, open on one computer at a time, on as many computers as you want as long each has veracrypt installed.
