Sort of doing a Mickey Mouse setup with various generations of devices.  What would be my best connection options for the following components?

Graphics Card:  Nvidia GeForce GT720

Monitor 1:  Dell P2311H
Monitor 2:  Dell E207WFP

I was thinking about running dual link DVI for monitor 1.  And VGA for monitor 2.

Would this get the best resolution from the existing equipment?

Ewww why ever go VGA.  Just say no.

DVI to one monitor's DVI and buy an HDMI to DVI adapter for the 2nd monitor.

That card is pretty old so it's not like you're going to be taxing anything. I would just plug in with whatever ports it has and not spend any time or money messing around with adapters
