Which app did you guys use to re-skin your desktops? Does it slow you down like some of them?

No reskinning on my end. Figured I'd post for all, as I've been asked about it both here and by friends.
The 'skin' of the desktop is Chrome[XP] v2.0, which can be found at www.themexp.org. Contrary to popular belief, you don't neeed to buy a program to work with user made themes. You can, as I did, download a modded version of the uxtheme.dll file. Put it in your system directory, and then you can see and select custom installed themes from the Display Settings menu. Nice, simple, easy.
And as it's a theme working directly with windows, and not something like WindowsBlinds, you don't have the trouble with slowdown whatsoever.
The little program I use at the bottom is called ObjectDock. It's a replication of the toolbar found in OSX. That can be found at

dock/. Free download. Icons can be found at places like DeviantArt or Wincustomize. If you download the right progs, you can even convert Apple icons over.
I usually get my ideas from 'post your desktop' threads on some of the computer boards I frequent, like Ars|Technica's forums or the [H]ard|Forums......you can see some really great stuff there.
