Does anyone make an outdoor wireless system for 3 hundred bucks or less that isn't crap?   Looking for 4 cameras and be able to see at night.

The home security forum is the best place to ask about cameras.

My personal opinion is that all the pre-packaged systems are crap.

Meanwhile, I haven't seen individual cameras that were worth a damn for less than $300 a pop(especially for network cameras), and then you still need a DVR box or a computer server to run them.

Also, make sure the cameras and server are all on UPS's. I think my camera got fried by a recent power burp - need to pull it down and do some testing, but I'm not hopeful.

Please define what is "crap."  How fine a picture quality do you need?  Are you monitoring a driveway for vehicles, or do you need more detail for people and animals?  Also consider that cameras with IR LED's might give you 15-25 feet of viewing area.
